GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS

2026 Catholic Calendars

The calendars are available in the back of church! The calendars were generously provided by the support from the following businesses: Waumandee State Bank and the La Crosse Milling Co.

C-FC Food Shelf

If you need food assistance, we would like to direct you to C-FC Area Food Shelf located at St. John’s Church 303 Hill St in Fountain City. The hours are 1st and 3rd Mondays at 4:30-6:30pm and 2nd and 4th Weds from 3:00-5:00pm.

Epiphany Blessing

The Epiphany household blessing is a centuries-old tradition that invokes God's blessing on all who enter one's home.

All you need for an Epiphany blessing is chalk, which are available in the back of church. There are a few different formulas for blessings out there, but the essence of the ritual is always the same: a priest or the head of the household calls down God's blessing on the house and everyone who comes into it, and an inscription is made above the door in chalk.

The inscription reads: the first two digits of the year + C + M + B + the last two digits of the year. The initials C, M and B represent the names of the magi - Caspar, Melchior and Balthasar - and also signify the Latin phrase Christus mansionem benedicat: "May Christ bless the house."

Father Albert's Vacation

Father Albert will be traveling home back to India to see his family. He will be gone from Sun, Jan 4 (after Mass) to Wed, Feb 11. We will only have weekend masses during that time. Fr. Parr will celebrate the January Masses and Fr. Dickman will join us for the Feb 7/8 Masses. We wish Father safe travels!

This year it will be celebrated in parishes on the weekend of Jan 31-Feb 1. Please pray for all those who have answered the call to consecrated life, aspiring towards joyful holiness in the service of the Church and world. Pray also for many more laborers to enter the vineyard so that Jesus Christ may be better known, experienced, and loved.
